Who Are We?
At 4:14 Defense, my wife Sarah and I, are dedicated to spreading awareness and providing exceptional Christian firearm instruction and public safety advisory services. Our mission is to inspire and empower individuals to protect themselves and their communities through responsible firearm usage and safety training.

We started this business out of our passion for being prepared and the peace of mind that comes with knowing how to handle different situations. Having met and married in Chicago, we are proud to now serve our community here, offering guidance and training rooted in Christian values of integrity, courage, and stewardship.

Certified by the USCCA, we provide practical and personalized instruction and hands-on experiences, ensuring that every individual feels confident and capable when it comes to firearm safety and self-defense.

Why the Name 4:14 Defense?
Nehemiah 4:14 says:
"Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes."

In the book of Nehemiah, the Israelites were called to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, a God-given mission for their protection and the restoration of His people and their community. But as they worked, they faced strong opposition from those who wanted to stop them and tear down what they were building. Despite the threat of attack, Nehemiah stood firm in his faith, rallied the people, and gave them a clear command: Don’t be afraid. Remember the Lord’s power. And fight for what matters most—your families, your homes, your community.

At 4:14 Defense, this verse is the cornerstone of our mission. Just as the Israelites were called to stand strong in the face of adversity, we are called to stand strong and protect what is precious. Our work is rooted in three key passions that guide everything we do:

1. Do Not Be Afraid
In a world filled with uncertainty, fear often becomes a barrier to action. We believe that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). In our training, we focus on helping individuals overcome fear by giving them the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to respond effectively in any situation. Whether it's understanding how to safely handle a firearm or knowing how to react in a high-pressure moment, we equip you to face danger without fear—so that you can protect yourself and those you love.

2. Remember the Lord
As Nehemiah reminded the people, our strength comes from the Lord, and we must never forget that He is greater and more powerful than any threat we might face. At 4:14 Defense, we weave this truth into everything we teach. Our training isn't just about physical preparedness—it’s about maintaining a mindset rooted in faith, trusting that God will give us the wisdom and courage to handle whatever comes our way. Remembering the Lord allows us to approach every challenge with confidence, knowing that His guidance is with us in every moment.

Our third passion is deeply personal. Nehemiah’s call to fight for our families and homes resonates with every Christian who desires to protect the ones they love. We believe that being a protector is part of our God-given responsibility as men and women, parents, and leaders in our communities. We provide you with the practical tools, knowledge, and spiritual grounding to be a strong protector—whether it's through firearm safety, self-defense, or preparedness for emergencies. It’s not just about defending against physical threats; it’s about safeguarding your loved ones, your peace of mind, and your community.
