The Youth Firearm Safety and Situational Awareness Class is designed for middle school and high school students to learn essential skills for safely handling firearms and understanding their risks, while also becoming more aware of potential dangerous situations in everyday life. In this class, students will learn the basics of firearm safety, including how to properly handle a gun, what to do if they encounter one, and why it’s crucial to never treat a firearm as a toy. We emphasize the importance of seeking help from a trusted adult if a firearm is found and provide guidance on how to act responsibly in potentially dangerous situations. Additionally, we focus on situational awareness, teaching students how to recognize and avoid risky scenarios before they escalate, and how to stay alert and make smart decisions in moments of uncertainty. The class also prepares kids with practical steps to respond confidently if they find themselves in a dangerous situation, helping them to stay safe and seek help when necessary. Through interactive games, role-playing, and engaging team activities, we make learning these critical life skills both fun and memorable.
